Switching platforms is a real decision. Here's the straight version on the things owners worry about most.
Switching to Bower
The opposite is the point. If your menu currently lives in a marketplace iframe, Google is crediting their domain, not yours — so you have little owned ranking to lose and a lot to gain. Bower renders your menu as real HTML on your own domain, so search equity starts compounding for you. When you're moving from an existing site, we map your URLs and set up redirects so the equity you do have carries over instead of 404-ing.
No. Your new Bower site is built and previewed on a staging URL while your current site stays live. You only point your domain over once everything looks right — so the switch is a cutover, not an outage.
Most of the heavy lifting is automatic: connect your POS — our POSaBIT, Dutchie, and Flowhub integrations are planned at launch — and your live menu, pricing, and inventory sync in. You pick a template, adjust colors and content in a live editor, and point your domain. There's no rebuilding your catalog by hand.
Your menu lives in your POS, not locked inside Bower — that's the source of truth, and it stays yours. Your domain is registered to you. And because your site is on your own domain, the SEO equity you build stays with the domain if you ever move on. We're not in the business of holding your business hostage.
Compliance
Compliance is built in, not bolted on. The platform applies the right legal posture per state — age gating, required warnings, and the rest — based on where you operate. As we open up in each state we confirm the specifics before going live there.
Yes — an age gate is part of the platform, configured to your state's rules, including separate handling for medical and recreational menus where that applies.
Pricing & getting started
A flat monthly fee per location — never a percentage of your sales and no per-order fees. Volume pricing brings additional locations down. Final pricing is set at launch; waitlist members lock in early-access pricing.
We're rolling out first to WA, IL, MO, MI, and NJ, with more states planned — though we can't promise a timeline for either. The fastest way in is the waitlist — tell us your state and current POS and we'll reach out as we open up in your area.
POSaBIT, Dutchie, and Flowhub are our planned launch integrations, with more to follow — a two-way sync so your live menu, pricing, and inventory will stay accurate. Tell us what you run on the waitlist form and we'll keep you posted.
